Terms of service

Effective October 31, 2026

These terms govern a merchant’s use of SampleLift. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms on behalf of your business.

The service

SampleLift lets Shopify merchants configure sample-order follow-up journeys, send product recommendations, and view related conversion information. Features may evolve as the service improves.

Merchant responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of product mappings, email content, offers, and store information;
  • having the rights and legal basis needed for the messages you configure;
  • complying with marketing, consumer-protection, discount, and privacy laws that apply to your business;
  • reviewing a journey before activation and monitoring its results; and
  • keeping your Shopify account and authorized users secure.

The app’s consent and suppression controls support—but do not replace—your own legal and compliance obligations.

Fees and billing

Any paid plan, trial, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms shown in Shopify at the time you subscribe form part of these terms. Shopify processes app charges under its platform terms.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to send unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or unsolicited messages; interfere with the service; attempt unauthorized access; or violate Shopify’s terms. We may suspend use that creates a security, legal, deliverability, or platform risk.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Shopify, email providers, hosting providers, and merchant storefronts can affect availability. We may change or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects active merchants.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee a particular conversion rate, revenue result, email placement, or customer response. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.

Termination

You can stop using the service by deactivating journeys and uninstalling the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limitations, will continue to apply.
